“If I ruled the world” (2003) installation by Beth Block, as part of Trailmarkers, a public multi-disciplinary site-specific art exhibition sponsored by the New Town Pasadena  Foundation at Hahamongna Water Shed, La Canada, CA.

Brush and debris from the site were painted and re-installed into the same twenty by twenty foot  area of the park.
If I ruled the world, when
things died, instead of
stinking and fading to the
color of death, everything
would turn every kind of
bright color and we’d notice
them and stop to say goodbye
and honor them for the
beauty they left behind.
